What does Business add over Professional?
Everything in Professional, plus a customer portal for your clients, a vendor and subcontractor portal, Ask Build Site, the Historical Cost Library, advanced reporting across projects, workforce and financials, and API access with outbound webhooks.
What is Ask Build Site?
A plain-language way to ask questions about your own company's data — who is clocked in, which invoices are overdue, what is scheduled this week — and get an answer drawn from your records instead of hunting through screens.
What can my clients and subcontractors see?
Only what you share with them. The customer portal and the vendor/subcontractor portal are separate from your internal system, each with their own sign-in, so an outside party never sees your internal financials or another company's work.
What can I do with the API?
Read and write your own company's data from your other systems, and receive outbound webhooks when things change in Build Site, so you can connect it to tools you already run. Keys and endpoints are managed from your integration settings.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
Yes. You enter payment details when you start, through Stripe's own secure checkout, but you are not charged during the 14-day trial. Cancel before it ends from your billing settings and you will not be charged.
